The Italian studio Nauta Design has unveiled a 75.1-metre superyacht concept, Project Velor. The four-deck vessel, with a gross tonnage of 1,700 GT, is designed to deliver the comfort and functionality typically associated with five-deck yachts. The project was developed in collaboration with naval architect Francesco Rogantin of Studio Names.

Project Velor embodies Nauta Design’s signature style, characterised by clean horizontal lines and a harmonious balance of organic and geometric forms. The design emphasises seamless integration between interior and exterior spaces, offering uninterrupted views of the sea from nearly every corner of the yacht. Key elements contributing to this openness include expansive decks, large glass panels, and tiered staircases. The overhangs on the aft decks feature overhanging slatted panels, creating a pergola-like effect over the spaces below.

One of the standout features is the open beach club, or “water patio”, located at the aft of the lower deck. From this versatile space, guests can access the spa and wellness area, which in turn leads to the accommodation quarters.

A key innovation of the design is the placement of the engine room below the lower deck, which frees up valuable space for other functions and improves overall layout efficiency.
The yacht also boasts a multifunctional sundeck, complete with a children’s play area, a pool, and spaces for sunbathing or stargazing. Another open area with a pool is located at the bow of the main deck. This space can serve as either a private sundeck for the owner’s suite or as a shared social area for all guests.

Project Velor is powered by a diesel-electric propulsion system featuring four generators: two rated at 1,000 kW and two at 500 kW. The yacht has a beam of 13 metres and a draught of 3.5 metres.
