Miami Yacht Show: new Mangusta GranSport 38 unveiled
The 38-meter Mangusta GranSport 38 is part of the Mangusta GranSport line and embodies the Sport Utility Yacht concept. The model was unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show. She is built from composite materials at the company’s shipyard in Viareggio.
The yacht features an unusual asymmetric layout. On the main deck, there is a side passage only to port, which allows for an expanded main salon. On the upper deck, the side passage is located solely to starboard.
The main deck includes a panoramic-glazed salon, a full-beam master suite, and an aft lounge area with a bar and sofas. The upper deck offers an additional salon, an open-air dining area, and a forward pool. The sundeck is designed as an open relaxation space. A two-level beach club is located aft, featuring fold-down side platforms and a transforming swim platform. The garage accommodates two jet skis and a tender up to 5.5 meters in length.
The yacht can host up to 12 guests in five staterooms, with accommodations for seven crew members in four cabins. The interiors were developed with the involvement of Alberto Mancini and allow for a high degree of customization.
The Mangusta GranSport 38 is equipped with a Volvo Penta IPS Professional propulsion system for superyachts, powered by four Volvo Penta D13 engines rated at 1,000 hp each, paired with two pod drives. She reaches a top speed of 20 knots, cruises comfortably at 18 knots, and offers a range of up to 600 nautical miles. The compact engine room configuration allows for increased interior volume.
