17 июля 1975 года американский астронавт Томас П. Стаффорд и советский космонавт Алексей Леонов обменялись историческим рукопожатием в люке стыковочного узла, соединявшего их космические корабли. Запястья обоих украшали часы Omega. Циферблат юбилейной модели, как и тех самых исторических часов, выполнен из цельного метеорита — материала настолько прочного, что он смог выдержать вхождение в атмосферу Земли и удар о земную поверхность. Хронограф выйдет серией в 1975 экземпляров.
