One of the world's most beautiful sailing superyachts is approaching to completion and will soon be unveiled in all her glory. Royal Huisman has moved the 65m Project 408 Aquarius II out of the shed in Vollenhove, where her hull and superstructure were assembled and tested, and has shared photos of her transport by barge to Amsterdam.

Aquarius II is the successor to the 56 m sailing yacht of the same name built in 2018 (now known as Apsara). The owners of the first Aquarius still consider her to be almost perfect. They just wanted a bigger yacht. The same team is responsible for both boats — design bureau Dykstra Naval Architects and interior designer Mark Whiteley.

While retaining the elegance of her predecessor, Aquarius features 45% more volume, more spacious guest and crew accommodation, improved integrated sail control systems and an adjustable keel. The hull is made of lightweight Alustar® aluminium alloy and offers high sailing efficiency and comfort, while the semi-hybrid propulsion system contributes to environmental sustainability.

On arrival in Amsterdam, the yacht will be prepared for the final stages of the project, including launching and installation of carbon masts.
