Project Defy
Images have emerged of the Project Defy yacht (project 13798) by Lürssen. At 146.2 metres in length, it is the largest vessel currently under construction at the renowned German shipyard. The unveiling comes two years after the hull was laid down in 2023, offering a first glimpse into this ambitious project.
The yacht will have a volume of 10,500 gross tonnes, and its construction combines a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure — a proven solution for large vessels. In the published images, Project Defy features a sharp bow, expansive panoramic windows, and an elegantly curved antenna mast, which harmoniously contrasts with the clean, modern lines of the main structure, creating a distinctive silhouette. Delivery to the client is scheduled for 2027.
