Виндсерферы со всей страны и ближнего зарубежья боролись за чемпионство России в дисциплине слалом. Место проведения соревнований выбрано не случайно. В конце сентября Анапа представляет собой отличное место для серфинга за счет уникального сочетания течения и ветров. Прогнозы по ветру превзошли все ожидания участников Русской волны: порывы достигали 25 метров в секунду. Всего по итогам чемпионата оказалось 24 призера.
