Dutch shipyard Oceanco has relaunched the 92.8-metre superyacht Draak (formerly Tranquility and Equanimity) from its Zwijndrecht facilities following an extensive rebuild. Originally delivered by the yard in 2014, the yacht has now been transformed into a dedicated companion vessel for the 111-metre Oceanco-built Leviathan, delivered last year to American technology entrepreneur Gabe Newell.

The rebuild adapts Draak for a new operational role, including the capability to carry a dedicated dive tender and expanded accommodation for additional crew and guests. The yacht will now undergo sea trials ahead of delivery later this year.

Key exterior modifications include an extended stern boarding platform, increasing the yacht’s overall length by just over one metre, and the removal of the former helideck to create additional clearance for a large tender deck with heavy-duty C-davits. A 12.6-tonne jib crane has also been integrated on the upper deck aft.

Interior spaces have been reconfigured to support the yacht’s new mission. The former beach club and spa have been converted into a fully equipped dive centre with a decompression chamber, while the main deck saloon now serves as a spacious crew mess with a dedicated “chef’s lab.” Additional adaptable cabins have been added, with interior works led by Vedder.

The project involved close collaboration between Oceanco, co-makers, owner’s representative YTMC, Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture, and both yachts’ crews to ensure seamless integration and operational compatibility within the fleet.
