The Italian studio InMind Design has unveiled the design of a 49.9-m superyacht named Interstellar. Its dynamic lines and elongated aft deck, combined with futuristic elements, create a resemblance to both an expedition yacht and a spaceship.

The spacecraft effect is particularly enhanced on board, especially in the master cabin located on the main deck, which features panoramic glazing reminiscent of a sci-fi starship cockpit.
“The owner I envision for Interstellar is someone who values design as a form of cultural expression,” explains the company’s founder, Lorenzo Squadrito. “They're not looking for a yacht that blends in but one that embodies vision, creativity and identity.”

As is common in many modern designs, the central element of the layout is the aft deck, which includes an outdoor dining area and a sunbathing zone just steps away from a massive infinity pool. Directly beneath the pool is a beach club with foldable terraces.
One level above, there is an outdoor dining area for 14 guests, while the sun deck features a private lounge with a coffee table adorned with greenery.
Other notable features of the yacht include a custom tender, also designed by the Italian studio, and a full-scale gym equipped with rows of treadmills and sets of weights.

"With Interstellar, we aimed to design something iconic and bold, yet fluid and timeless. A silhouette that could become a statement in yacht design," continues Squadrito. "We've worked towards a shape that we feel could have existed in the past or the future – something truly evergreen."
Key technical specifications include a width of 9.5 m and a draught of 2.3 m. Interstellar will be powered by two CAT engines, although further details about the project have not yet been disclosed.
