Cantiere delle Marche (CDM) has signed a contract for the construction of the 2nd hull of FLEXPLORER 165.
Measuring 49.9m in LOA and 499 GT, this tri-deck explorer motor yacht will be delivered to her owner (from US) at the end of 2027. The hull no.1 was earlier purchased by a European buyer.
The exterior and naval architecture are designed by Hydro Tec. The owner, who appears to be keen on active leisure and wellness practices, opted for a huge wellness area with a spa and ice bath, a massage room and a pickleball court (a mix of badminton, tennis and ping-pong) on the upper deck. The latter required some significant structural changes — the aft section of the upper deck had to be significantly extended. Should you wish to play a game, a net on carbon fibre poles is installed around the perimeter of the court to prevent balls from falling overboard. A match can be watched either from a dedicated area on the court or from the aft section of the sundeck.
Below, on the main deck, there is a large shaded storage area for a 7m tender and jet skis. When the tender and toys are on the water, the whole space turns into an alfresco lounge with a bar, heated pool, freestanding furniture and folding bulwarks.
In a true explorer manner, the yacht has a separate waste preserving room with refrigeration system and ample storage for supplies.
There are four guest cabins on the lower deck and a master suite on the main deck as well as six crew cabins. An elevator is available to guests.
The Flexplorer 165 will be powered by Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines capable of delivering a top speed of 15 knots and a range of 4,800 miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots.
