Ferretti Yachts 800: New generation

The new Ferretti Yachts 800 replaces the popular 780 model. Here is why it is fair to say she is the quintessence of all the best features of the Flybridge line.

Ferretti Yachts 800 preserves everything clients appreciate in the smaller Flybridge models, while offering more comfortable cruising and a broader range of customization options.

In 2018, Ferretti Yachts began restyling its entire model range, gradually introducing a new signature exterior design by Filippo Salvetti and coordinated interior concepts by Ideaeitalia. The new style focuses on blurring the boundaries both between indoor and outdoor spaces and between the yacht and the surrounding nature. Direct contact with the sea and natural light streaming through expansive windows are always in demand, and Salvetti delivers both generously. In the main salon, nearly all the walls are glazed, and a sliding glass door is installed on the starboard side.

The yacht combines a sporty profile with refined details. One of the model’s distinctive features is the gentle downward slope of the flybridge bulwark line toward the stern. Although decks are traditionally designed to appear parallel, this solution makes the yacht’s profile look more dynamic.

The overall length of the Ferretti Yachts 800 is 24.47 m, with a maximum beam of 5.91 m. An optional shortened swim platform is available to reduce the length to under 24 m, allowing the yacht to comply with strict mooring regulations and fees (for example, in France).

The beach area at the aft end of the main deck offers a total of 7 sq. m of space. The sun gently warms your skin, a cool mojito rests in your hand, and a fresh sea breeze plays with your hair — this waterside spot is destined to become a favorite retreat for those who love relaxing with an endless horizon as their backdrop. The folding sofa is perfectly placed: ideal for a midday nap or chatting with friends while watching the sunset. Whitecaps trailing in the wake seem to hint at the journey already completed and the discoveries still ahead. This feeling of freedom and limitless possibility is intoxicating and inspiring. You simply want to keep moving forward, thinking of nothing but the beauty of the moment.

The 15 sq. m cockpit impresses with its striking glass balustrade. A comfortable sofa faces the salon, accompanied by a large table. Two doors are built into the bulwarks, making docking convenient whether the yacht is moored portside or starboard. From the cockpit, stairs lead down to the crew area, which includes three single cabins with a shared corridor and a bathroom equipped with a shower and toilet. From this section, there is also direct access to the engine room through a watertight door, significantly enhancing comfort and safety on board.

Vast windows in the salon provide panoramic views, while two-meter-high ceilings create a sense of openness and airiness. The living area offers three layout options to suit any taste or lifestyle. In the standard version, a custom-made sofa is positioned closer to the port side, with a TV cabinet on the starboard side (screen sizes from 43 to 65 inches) and a Molteni coffee table (optional). For greater comfort, the cabinet can be replaced with a second sofa, while the TV rises elegantly from a console located near the entrance. The third option is ideal for those with plenty of tableware, books, or small items: instead of a second sofa, a chest of drawers with a pop-up TV can be installed.

In the standard configuration, the dining area features a Minotti table made of smoked glass, seating eight guests, paired with elegant chairs by Alf DaFrè.

Behind a sliding partition lies a corridor providing access to the galley and the wheelhouse, as well as stairs leading down to the guest area on the lower deck. The corridor also includes a guest day head, a rarity on yachts of this size. The galley has a door to the port-side deck, allowing provisions to be brought aboard or cocktails and snacks to be served to the foredeck lounge without passing through the main salon, as well as a separate door to the wheelhouse. This layout subtly but effectively separates guest and crew circulation.

In the wheelhouse, a small yet cozy crew dinette is located to starboard, while two convenient entrances — from the corridor and directly from the galley — make life on board exceptionally practical. The windshield is a single, uninterrupted pane with no mullions, ensuring outstanding visibility.

The bow area of the yacht — a generous 14 sq. m — is a true relaxation oasis. A large C-shaped sofa, as if embracing you with its soft cushions, faces directly toward the horizon. An optional table allows you to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine at sunset. Nearby is a sun lounger so comfortable you may never want to leave it. Its adjustable backrest lets you tailor it to your preference and bask serenely in the sun. Should the daylight become too intense, a lightweight awning provides elegant shade. Its carbon-fiber frame, strong yet almost weightless, resembles a butterfly’s wing.

Safety has not been overlooked: life rafts are discreetly stowed beneath the sofa. They are always within easy reach, yet do not compromise the yacht’s refined appearance. Every detail has been carefully considered.

The flybridge deserves a story of its own. It is more spacious than that of most competitors in its class. Across 40 sq. m, there is room for everything needed for comfortable open-air living. Each area is arranged so that you can enjoy the views and socialize effortlessly with friends, whether the yacht is at anchor or cruising at top speed.

The generous aft overhang accommodates two wide Talenti sun loungers with wooden bases and soft armrests. Amidships on the starboard side is a dining area with a large table and a long sofa featuring practical storage compartments. To port, there is an L-shaped bar with a refrigerator, ice maker, grill, and sink. Optional Lapalma bar stools can be added to create a full-fledged social hub.

The sofa extends all the way to the helm — perhaps to make it easier to chat with the captain and pick up a few navigation tips. The glossy black dashboard contrasts elegantly with the white support structure and white upholstery featuring a pronounced linen-like texture, looking as refined as a bow tie on a tuxedo shirt. The steering wheel is particularly original: spokeless, with two horizontal wooden slats connected by a metal panel bearing the logo, and finished with a white rim.

Even when relaxing outdoors, there are moments when shade is welcome. Above the flybridge, a carbon-fiber hardtop is supported by three elegant pillars and features either an opening louvered sunroof or a fixed glass panel.

On the lower deck, owners and guests will not feel cramped. Ceiling height here also reaches 2 m. Each cabin is equipped with its own en-suite bathroom. Thoughtfully designed storage solutions make it easy to keep everything neatly organized throughout the voyage. The forward VIP cabin stands out for its functionality in every detail, while the two guest cabins on either side of the lower deck exemplify versatility and adaptability to passengers’ needs.

The heart of the lower deck is the 18 sq. m master cabin. Spacious and impeccably planned, it envelops you in comfort and tranquility. Toward the stern, protecting sleep from engine noise, are the walk-in wardrobe and bathroom, clad in sound-absorbing ribbed wooden panels. The setting is completed by a soft sofa on the port side and an angular vanity table with a Pill pouf by Tumidei on the starboard side.

The Ideaeitalia design studio fine-tunes the interior details together with the owner, offering two décor options. The classic design emphasizes warm earth tones, while the contemporary style highlights gray-blue maritime hues. The flexible layout opens up countless possibilities to furnish the spaces to your taste and create a true sense of home on the water. For the first hull, the Classico mood was selected: gray-beige flooring, dark brown furniture fronts, trims and moldings, creamy white walls, headboards and other accents in rust-toned leather, gray-brown marble, and dark wood in the bathroom.

The yacht is powered by two MAN V12 engines rated at 1,550 hp (standard) or 1,800 hp (optional).

Depending on the configuration, maximum speed reaches 27 or 31 knots, while cruising speed is 15 or 27 knots.

Adventures or romantic moments, Hemingway-esque solitude alone with the sea, or vibrant parties on board — the plot and genre are yours to choose.

The new Ferretti Yachts 800 has everything needed to provide the perfect backdrop for a beautiful life.
