The South African shipyard Southern Wind has unveiled Kalantis, the third unit in its 35.5-metre SW108 sailing yacht series. The launch took place at the yard's Cape Town facilities during a moonlit christening ceremony.
Commissioned by a "young and passionate sailor," Kalantis is designed for both global cruising and competitive racing. The yacht combines versatility and performance, featuring a full-carbon construction, a high modulus carbon mast and boom, a lifting keel (4 to 6.2 meters), and titanium deck fittings. With a displacement of just 74.2 tons, she is described as a "formidable sailing machine."

A standout feature is the "Seaside Lounge" aft deck, which transforms into a beach club with multiple configurations, including sunbeds, seating, and even an outdoor cinema. Below deck, Kalantis offers accommodation for eight guests across four cabins, including a forward owner's suite named "Petit Salon."
CEO Marco Alberti highlighted the yacht's innovative design, stating it extends the boundaries of the SW108 platform and showcases Southern Wind's commitment to achieving "the Perfect Balance" between comfort and performance.
