At the prestigious Dubai International Boat Show, Cantieri di Pisa unveiled the stunning interiors of its new superyacht, the Akhir 44. This model marks a significant milestone for the shipyard. Although the last Akhir yacht was launched over 20 years ago, the line remains iconic among enthusiasts. Now, the series has been given a fresh lease on life.
The Akhir 44 retains several signature features of the renowned Akhir line, including sleek wheelhouse lines, striped windows along the hull, "shark-inspired" bow accents, horizontal grill-style air intakes, and its distinctive black-and-white livery. The 44-metre model features a hull and superstructure crafted from composite carbon fibre using vacuum infusion technology. Among the updates are a hardtop over the sundeck and streamlined, aerodynamic shapes.
The yacht’s interior design was entrusted to Pulina Exclusive Interiors, a firm renowned for its prestigious projects in yachts, private residences, and luxury hotels across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Alessandro Pulina, the company’s founder, described his concept as a blend of dynamic energy and thoughtfully planned spaces. To achieve this, bleached oak is paired with "cool" metallic accents in a neutral colour palette. A standout feature is the floating staircase made of metal and glass, which is sure to draw attention.
The Akhir 44 boasts an innovative layout that emphasises symmetry and fluidity. On the main deck, guest comfort takes centre stage, with a spacious salon and a versatile dining area that can be transformed using sliding panels. The yacht offers four guest cabins and an owner’s suite featuring expansive floor-to-ceiling windows.
With its modern design and meticulous attention to detail, the Akhir 44 sets a new standard for luxury and functionality, breathing new life into a legendary line.
