Light explorer
The 65 metre Javelin ‘light explorer’ project redefines the superyacht construction.

Designers from the American studio Designova Creative + Associates Innovation Consultancy admit that they were inspired by cyborg films. The Javelin does have unusual proportions: the narrow, pointed-nose hull is reminiscent of a fish (the long side porthole ‘fin’ enhances the resemblance), and the superstructure is characteristic of a speedboat rather than a superyacht. The aft deck is lowered and has no bulwarks to accommodate the helicopter and tenders, as the project is positioned as a ‘light Explorer’. The interior configuration will be adapted to the customer's lifestyle. It is possible to choose a layout that prioritises the storage of water toys or to reduce the garage in favour of more spacious guest cabins. No information on performance is yet available.
