Впервые появилась возможность установить на Jaguar X-Type дизельный двигатель в сочетании с автоматической коробкой передач. Это объединяет преимущества двигателя объемом 2,2 литра и 6-скоростной коробки передач, оснащенной системой Jaguar Sequential Shift, которая позволяет переключать скорости одним нажатием. Элегантность, оптимальные динамические показатели и экономичность делают линейку модификаций X-Type еще разнообразней. Обновленный Jaguar X-Type (с кузовом седан и универсал) поступит в продажу в России в марте 2008 года.
