Italian shipyard Maiora, part of NEXT Yacht Group, has introduced its latest 42m superyacht model, the Maiora 42 Exuma. Renowned Italian designer Giorgio M. Cassetta and fashion designer Elie Saab, under the creative direction of Carlo Colombo from A++, have been chosen to craft the yacht’s exterior and interior design.

The Maiora 42 Exuma breaks away from conventional norms. It eliminates design features such as lower deck guest cabins, oversized and underutilized main saloons, and cramped crew quarters. Notable highlights include a fully glazed upper deck offering 360-degree views and a dedicated private outdoor space for crew relaxation.

The yacht features a four-deck layout, accommodating up to 12 guests across four VIP cabins in addition to the owner’s suite. All cabins are located on the main deck. The owner’s suite is designed as a separate living and sleeping space, complete with a private bar corner, two walk-in dressing rooms, and a his-and-hers en suite bathroom.
The open and airy design is further enhanced by two terraces (on the main and upper decks) and an open-space lounge on the upper deck that offers uninterrupted sightlines from bow to stern.

The interior design incorporates statement pieces from the Elie Saab Maison collection, complemented by custom creations tailored specifically for the yachting environment. Materials include Mystic Ocean marble, light bronzed mirrors, teak ceilings, and high-resistance fabrics and finishes to ensure durability.
The upper deck is fully glazed and designed for relaxation, featuring fold-down terraces and a glass-bottom pool that filters natural light down to the lower deck.

Onboard amenities include a main dining area located in the saloon, while the bow features a circular sunbed that can be remotely adjusted to follow the sun throughout the day. The lower deck is primarily dedicated to crew and service areas, with the exception of a multifunctional space that can be configured as a gym, massage room, media room, or even a sixth guest cabin with an en suite bathroom. Additionally, a larger dumbwaiter will be installed to enable simultaneous service across all decks. An optional panoramic glass elevator connecting three decks is available—a feature typically found on much larger yachts.
Key specifications include an 8.9-metre beam and a top speed of 30 knots when equipped with the optional triple MTU engine package.
The first Maiora 42 Exuma is sold and scheduled for delivery in 2027.
