Among the standout projects unveiled by leading shipyards and designers at last week’s Dubai International Boat Show, the 101-meter megayacht concept Lily drew particular attention. Developed as part of Oceanco’s Beyond Custom series in collaboration with design studio Vripack, this yacht represents a unique vision of innovation and elegance.
The design of the yacht is inspired by the natural beauty of a water lily.

One of the yacht’s defining features is its emphasis on natural cooling, which reduces the reliance on air conditioning systems. A significant portion of the outdoor relaxation areas is thoughtfully located in shaded spaces, providing comfort and respite from the sun.
The asymmetrical bow design includes a walkway on the starboard side and a helipad on the port side. Below, there is storage space for four tenders and the helicopter itself. On the main deck, ceilings soar to an impressive height of four meters. This deck also houses a wellness area complete with a swimming pool, gym, and a water sports gallery, creating an atmosphere of refined yet relaxed luxury.
Guest accommodations include nine spacious cabins. The yacht also features an open-plan cinema and a unique children's play area, accessible via a suspension bridge, adding a touch of whimsy and exclusivity.

The upper deck, spanning 450 square meters, is entirely dedicated to the owner. It includes a master suite with all the necessary amenities, as well as a private 315-square-meter terrace and a pond with live water lilies, further enhancing the sense of harmony with nature.
Lily is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including the Energy Transition Platform (ETP) developed by Lateral Naval Architects, a hybrid Dynafin propulsion system, and fuel cell technology. The crew quarters are designed with precision to optimise efficiency, featuring separate corridors that allow the crew to move discreetly around the yacht without disturbing guests.
This remarkable concept combines innovation, sustainability, and luxury, embodying the philosophy of Oceanco’s Beyond Custom series. Lily is not just a yacht; it is a statement of visionary design and a testament to what’s possible when artistry and engineering come together to create something truly extraordinary.

The design of the yacht is inspired by the natural beauty of a water lily.
“We were struck by how a lily’s petals overlap one another and only touch at the centre of the flower, Vripack's Marnix Hoekstra explains. — “We’ve echoed that structure transversely by layering the decks to create split-level platforms and one-and-a-half deck heights.”
With a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, Lily features smooth, flowing lines reminiscent of sailing yachts. The absence of traditional side decks and terraces enhances the yacht’s seamless profile, while windows, transparent only from the inside, offer a strong connection to the surrounding environment while maintaining complete privacy.
