Max Verstappen, the reigning Formula 1 world champion, has become the owner of a 33-meter motor yacht from Mangusta Yachts, named Unleash the Lion. This striking name pays homage to Verstappen's personal brand and symbolises his unwavering ambitions both on and off the racetrack.
The Unleash the Lion features at least five guest cabins, along with amenities such as a beach club, a gym, and dining areas both indoors and outdoors. Various media outlets estimate the purchase price to be between six and twelve million euros.
Accompanying Verstappen during the yacht's handover in Viareggio was his girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, the daughter of three-time Formula 1 world champion Nelson Piquet, as well as several members of the Red Bull Racing team.
It remains unclear where the athlete will keep his new yacht, but considering that he, like many other drivers, is a resident of Monaco, Unleash the Lion is sure to frequently grace the Port Hercules marina or the Monte Carlo anchorage.
