Riva has officially unveiled the 54Metri, a 54.83-metre all-aluminium superyacht that represents the largest vessel ever constructed under the Riva brand. The yacht, which measures 9.18 metres at the beam and comes in at under 500 GT, was presented on June 26, 2026.

The design of the 54Metri is the result of collaboration between Officina Italiana Design – the firm founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, which has served as Riva's exclusive designer for three decades — along with the Ferretti Group's Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department.

CONFIGURATION AND ACCOMMODATION

The yacht spans four decks connected by a central lift, with accommodation for up to ten guests across five cabins. The master suite occupies the forward section of the main deck, with two VIP cabins and two guest cabins located on the lower deck. Crew quarters comprise five double cabins plus a captain's cabin adjacent to the helm station.

The main deck layout places the salon aft, with a dining area forward. The 45-square-metre cockpit incorporates fold-out bulwarks that extend the usable deck space, and the beach club on the lower deck measures 42.5 square metres, with the total beach area exceeding 60 square metres when side sections are deployed.

The upper deck features a sky lounge with a 75-inch screen, while the sun deck provides over 100 square metres of outdoor space, including a Jacuzzi and dining area for ten guests.

PROPULSION AND SYSTEMS

Power comes from twin MTU 12V2000 M96L engines, each delivering 1,432 kW, driving fixed-pitch propellers via an optimised shaft line. The vessel achieves a top speed of 18 knots and has a reported range of approximately 3,600 nautical miles at 11 knots.

Stability is provided by four Naiad Dynamics electric stabiliser fins, a configuration chosen over traditional hydraulic systems for reduced weight, quieter operation and faster response times. The draft is limited to 2.25 metres.

Electrical power is supplied by two Zenoro generators rated at 118 kW each, with shore power integration via a 150 kVA frequency converter. The onboard automation system includes a power management system for optimised energy distribution.

COMMUNICATIONS AND NAVIGATION

The yacht is equipped with a communications infrastructure incorporating traditional TVSAT antennas alongside Starlink satellite broadband systems, with OneWeb compatibility. An integrated cybersecurity system based on a professional firewall platform protects onboard networks.

The helm station features a central 44-inch stretch display flanked by two 27-inch monitors and three 24-inch touchscreens. Navigation equipment includes a full ECDIS system with integrated digital charts.

The yacht has been classed by Lloyd's Register with the notation LR ✠ 100 A1 SSC Yacht Mono G6 [✠] LMC and Statement of Compliance REG Yacht Code Part A.
