Azzurra 48: the new creation of Mauro Giamboi and Van Oossanen

Giamboi Designs and Van Oossanen Naval Architects have unveiled the Azzurra 48 superyacht project, the new flagship of the semi-custom Azzurra series, which also includes 36- and 40-metre models. The Azzurra 48 seamlessly combines the refined Italian styling of Mauro Giamboi with the innovative Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) by Van Oossanen, delivering exceptional performance, comfort, and versatility in the 40–50-metre yacht segment under 500 GT.



The asymmetric hull and deck lines create a distinctive and striking appearance, while the interiors feature transformable cabins that can be adapted to suit the needs of owners or charter clients. The upper deck is entirely dedicated to the owner’s suite, which includes a private office, a balcony, and a plunge pool.



The FDHF hull design ensures a 30% reduction in fuel consumption (compared to traditional displacement hulls), minimises rolling, and enhances onboard comfort. The yacht is available with either diesel or hybrid propulsion systems and can be ice-reinforced for cruising in polar regions.



Onboard amenities include two pools, a spa area with a massage room and steam room, as well as spacious open-air relaxation areas, offering the ultimate luxury experience.
