The Dutch shipyard Vitters has signed a contract to build a custom 63-meter sailing yacht named Project Dreamer. According to a press release, the client has tasked Vitters with creating "the largest yacht within the 500GT limit." Construction of the aluminum hull and deck is set to begin this year at the shipyard in Zwartsluis.

The vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2028, and the exterior design will be developed by the shipyard's long-time partner Malcolm McKeon. According to the owner's representative, Greg Monks, the project "will set new standards" in the flybridge sailing yacht category, featuring "exceptionally low" levels of noise and vibration, as well as focusing on sustainability and efficiency.

Project Dreamer will showcase a timeless design with a rounded stern and a flybridge extending over the entire superstructure. Other notable features of the yacht include a toy garage with a fold-down door in the middle of the hull and interiors with an open layout that allows for a seamless flow between spaces, designed by the Milan-based studio M2Atelier. The decor is said to include soft textures, natural tones, and vibrant greenery.

We will keep you updated on the progress of the build.
