Columbus Yachts defines the philosophy of its Atlantique range as "Architecture for Voyagers" — architecture for travelers, emphasizing that these yachts are designed "specifically for owners who wish to turn every cruise into a true adventure and savor every moment spent on board."

The Atlantique family includes five models ranging in length: 37, 43, 47, 55, and 65 meters. The first hull of the Atlantique 47, named Acqua Chiara and launched in 2025, can be considered the "golden middle" of this size range. With a gross tonnage under 500 GT, it offers easier operation and reduced costs while remaining spacious enough to provide all the amenities of larger yachts.

The exterior and interior concept for the 47-meter model, as well as the entire Atlantique range, was developed by the Milan-based studio Hot Lab. Meanwhile, the engineering and architectural aspects of the project were handled by Columbus Yachts' dedicated departments (part of the Palumbo Superyachts group) in collaboration with the Italian bureau Hydro Tec.

This 47-meter yacht, featuring a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, has a beam of 9.1 meters and a draft of 2.6 meters. Two CAT C32Acert diesel engines, each with 1350 horsepower, deliver a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising range of 3,400 nautical miles at 12 knots.

The yacht's exterior showcases both sporty elements and explorer characteristics, such as a muscular hull with a slightly extended stern and vertical glazing of the wheelhouse. Columbus Yachts' signature style is evident in the three-tiered stern design, which includes a shaded dining area, a lounge with foldable bulwarks by the pool, and a swim platform positioned just 50 centimeters above sea level. Notably, the stepped, terraced architecture of the transom eliminates the traditional stern, with the transparent rear wall of the pool visually taking its place.

Part of the horizontal surface of the foldable rear terraces can be enclosed with safety rails, transforming these areas into secure balconies furnished with soft chairs and coffee tables.

At the stern of the swim platform, a wide retractable staircase is hidden. It can gently slope into the water or take the form of a flat bridge, at the end of which a floating dock can be attached for mooring water toys or assisting divers.

Another pool is located at the bow of the upper deck, where a multi-level layout is also utilized. A sofa, positioned against the tinted glazing of the superstructure, is shaded by the overhang of the sundeck. Opposite the sofa are sun loungers surrounding the jacuzzi pool on three sides, with one of its walls made transparent — this time at the front, facing the yacht's direction of travel. In the evenings, this relaxation area transforms into an open-air cinema, with a large screen installed above the pool and a projector emerging from the canopy above the sofa.

A hidden foredeck area, almost invisible to guests due to a three-step elevation difference, houses mooring cleats, anchor systems, and technical hatches leading to a bow garage located one level below. The garage can store a Castoldi Jet Tender 17, an inflatable Zodiac 360, two jet skis, and four paddleboards, with access via portside doors. This design allows the crew to work efficiently without obstructing the view from the guest sector.

The aft section of the upper deck features a second dining table for eight people and a seating area that can be shaded with removable fabric canopies.

The sundeck invites relaxation with an island-style solarium complemented by a bar. Under the hardtop, guests can enjoy a glass of champagne on the sofa or set up a romantic dinner on a portable table.

The interior of Acqua Chiara is described as "classic with modern touches."

Moving from top to bottom, the light and airy dining salon on the second deck offers panoramic 270-degree views, with transparent inserts in the bulwarks opposite the windows to ensure unobstructed enjoyment of the surroundings. On this level, near the wheelhouse, the captain's cabin is located, with the total crew capacity being nine people.

The grand staircase connecting all decks is a true work of art. This elegant structure, made of blued metal with plush dark brown carpeted steps and wrought handrails wrapped in leather, is framed by a wall crafted from the innovative Vetrite material. Vetrite combines glass, fabric, and polymer film, allowing for any desired textures and color transitions, which are particularly striking when backlit. The staircase shaft is further adorned with tubular Cantalupi light fixtures made of borosilicate glass, intertwined with black and white metal supports.

The spacious main deck salon welcomes guests with a lounge featuring Fendi Totu chairs and custom white sofas: three arranged around the perimeter and one in the center. The central sofa is double-sided, allowing multiple groups to interact or play board games. A 75-inch TV is seamlessly integrated into a Stopsol glass panel, remaining discreet when turned off.

Toward the bow, the owner's suite includes a bedroom, a walk-in wardrobe, a workspace equipped with all office functionalities, and a spacious bathroom. The bathroom features a full-sized bathtub and a shower with a hammam system, with white marble and silver mosaic wall finishes adding an opulent touch.

Like the four guest suites on the deck below, the accent walls in the master cabin are also finished with Vetrite material, resembling marble. Each cabin features its own color combination, but the overall palette is nautical: rich blues, grays, and purples paired with white walls and ceilings, evoking the freshness and energy of the sea. Floors are covered with silky beige carpeting reminiscent of Maldivian sand, complemented by transparent blue glass decorations, leather furniture accents, and cabin doors made of metal and glass panels layered with metallic Aquafil fabric from Syntarqui, adding the sophistication of a gentleman's club.

Special attention is given to the lighting system and the selection of lamps, worthy of an art gallery. These include rounded designer fixtures by Bonaldo, decorative Bonbori-Brokis appliques inspired by traditional Japanese lanterns, "cosmic" bedside lamps made of gold and black metal from Oluce's Superluna collection, and more. As night falls, the yacht transforms into a symphony of light. Decks glow with warm yellow hues, while the underwater section of the hull is surrounded by turquoise beams piercing the depths, perfectly reflecting the yacht's name, Acqua Chiara — clear, pure water.
