Cannes Yachting Festival 2025
Each year in Cannes is different. Sometimes, there aren’t many premieres, but this year offers a rich harvest of both large yachts and smaller boats and cruisers. Whether you want to get a glimpse of the direction global yachting is heading or are looking for a trendy new vessel, the Cannes Yachting Festival is a must-visit.
Yachts
The largest yacht debuting at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival is presented by Cantiere delle Marche. The steel expedition yacht RJ 155 (46.9 m) can travel autonomously for over 5,000 nautical miles. The RJ series was designed by Francesco Paszkowski, with key features including extended deck overhangs and spacious aft terraces. The hull architecture is by Pierluigi Ausonio, while the interior design is the work of Achille Salvagni. The yacht can accommodate 12 guests in five cabins and builds on the engineering concepts introduced with the RJ 130 (Nuri, 2021).
Singolare, the second hull of the 45-meter Tankoa T450 model, continues the success of last year’s Go. This model marked Tankoa’s entry into the sub-50-meter superyacht segment. Designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta, the interior has been adapted to the lifestyle of its South American owner by Brazilian architect Debora Aguiar.
Benetti is unveiling its new Class line, which can be explored through its first model — the 42-meter Juno’s 7. It is also the largest GRP yacht in the shipyard’s history. Both the interior and exterior designs are by Giorgio M. Cassetta, who has skillfully played with volumes using reflective surfaces like mirrors in the main salon to create a sense of brightness and spaciousness.
Big Naan (42 m) is the first yacht in the Columbus Crossover 42 series. It combines the reliability and long-range capabilities of explorers with the open spaces, outdoor lounges, and a large pool typical of Mediterranean yachts. The exterior design was developed by Hydro Tec, while the interior was created by Hot Lab. The concentration of volume in the bow emphasizes its expeditionary nature. The cockpit accommodates a large tender, a built-in crane, and a 10-square-meter pool with sun loungers and sofas. The owners requested three VIP cabins and a bunk-bed cabin on the lower deck, with the full-beam master suite located in the bow of the main deck.
Even Further (41.3 m) is the first hull of the new Amer Steel 41m Explorer model by Pisa-based shipyard Permare. Designed by Luis de Basto, who worked on both the exterior and interior, the yacht features a superstructure shifted towards the stern to free up space in the massive bow for a helipad and open storage for two tenders and water toys. While the beach club has been minimized, the sundeck has been maximized. A hybrid propulsion system reduces fuel consumption and emissions while ensuring quiet and comfortable cruising. The yacht is powered by four Volvo Penta engines, each delivering 700 hp, with a range of up to 4,500 nautical miles.
Maiora introduces the 36 Exuma, a yacht with a unique layout and three water jets, allowing it to reach speeds of 35 knots. Its shallow draft of 1.45 m makes it ideal for cruising in shallow waters like the Bahamas. The upper deck features an alfresco salon, with retractable doors and windows that can transform the space into an open area or a private lounge. The bow houses a pool with a sunbathing area, while the top deck offers another private relaxation zone for ultimate seclusion.
Van der Valk introduces another custom yacht to its fleet — the 35-meter Lalabe, debuting at Cannes. The owners, an experienced yachting couple, envisioned not just an explorer but a true floating residence for three generations of their family. Both the exterior and interior were designed by Guido de Groot and his team. The base architecture and engineering borrow elements from the 34-meter Lady Lene project by Diana Yacht Design. Guests can relax in the bridge deck salon with sliding glass on three sides, enjoy the spa with a steam room and sauna, or unwind on the wide transformer swim platform at the beach club.
Riva presents the updated Dolcevita model, measuring 34.4 m. Its standout features include expansive open areas, such as a beach club with an ultra-low platform and folding sides, offering 35 square meters of easy water access. The Riva 112’ Dolcevita Super boasts redesigned layouts and enlarged windows on the main deck. Freestanding furniture enhances layout flexibility and creates a relaxed atmosphere on the flybridge, where a central bar with a TV is surrounded by a spacious lounge area.
The yacht’s interior offers two configurations for the main salon. On the first hull, the dining area is positioned closer to the aft, while the lounge occupies the center. In the alternative layout, these positions are reversed. Special attention was given to acoustic comfort, with reinforced bulkheads on the lower deck separating the crew area from four VIP cabins. Flooring improvements further reduce vibrations and noise.
Additionally, Riva is preparing to debut a new model in its open yacht line — the elegant 56’ Capri (17.27 m). A perfect choice for a southern resort, it can reach speeds of 37 knots while allowing passengers to enjoy the breeze. Details remain under wraps.
The sporty AB 95 flybridge yacht builds on ideas showcased in the AB110 model. Featuring a lightweight composite hull, advanced engineering, and a powerful propulsion system, the yacht exceeds 50 knots and has a range of 440 nautical miles. Despite its sporty design, it offers surprisingly quiet and vibration-free comfort onboard. Its layout includes stylish, spacious public areas, with notable features like the flybridge and a two-level water-centric relaxation zone at the stern. The combined engine power totals 6,000 hp, enabling speeds of up to 50 knots.
The sporty Extra X90 Fast (26.7 m) features a spacious aft relaxation zone that seamlessly connects to the salon and a large flybridge. It accommodates up to eight passengers in four cabins. The X90 Fast comfortably maintains a cruising speed of 24 knots, powered by three Volvo Penta D13-1000 engines, each with 1,000 hp. In its standard configuration, the yacht has a range of 1,000 nautical miles.
Ferretti Yachts 800 (24.47 m) completes the model range update that began in 2018. Highlights include a 40-square-meter flybridge, large windows, clear zoning for complete privacy, and optimized outdoor spaces. The aft section of the main deck features a 7-square-meter beach area. The salon is bathed in light thanks to large windows offering unobstructed views. The lower deck houses a master suite, a VIP cabin in the bow, and two guest cabins.
The 24-meter Picchiotti 24 marks the relaunch of one of the world’s oldest shipyards, dating back to 1575. Transitioning from merchant ships to leisure yachts in the 20th century, the Picchiotti Gentleman series features exterior designs by Luca Dini inspired by the "golden age" of yachting. The aluminum hull can be equipped with hybrid or fully electric engines. The yacht accommodates 3–4 cabins and offers three interior design options: Hamptons Line with white tones, Manhattan Line inspired by New York, and Modern Line with contemporary aesthetics. Notable features include a foldable sea terrace and one of the largest beach clubs in its size category. Each yacht comes with a custom-designed tender matching the mother ship’s style.
Cantiere del Pardo updates the VanDutch brand, debuting the VanDutch 75 (22.61 m) at the Cannes Yachting Festival. The recognizable exterior retains its low profile, clean geometry, and elegantly balanced proportions. Technically and functionally, it’s an open yacht, but it’s fully equipped for long-distance cruising, with a tender garage, ample storage, a 3,820-liter fuel tank, and three Volvo Penta IPS engines (maximum speed — 40 knots). Inside, the yacht features three cabins, each with en-suite bathrooms.
Pershing expands its GTX line with a third model measuring 21.88 m. It embodies the same sporty spirit and comfort as its predecessors but in a more compact format. Interior and exterior spaces are more spacious than on many similar-length yachts. The Pershing GTX70 features two decks and a 16-square-meter "sportbridge." It accommodates up to six passengers. The beach area at the stern expands to 23 square meters with fold-out side terraces. A hydraulic swim platform can be raised to the main deck level and used for launching a jet ski or a Williams 325 tender.
Boats, Cruisers, Speedboats
Invictus Yacht is preparing the global premieres of two new flagships, each 16.87 m long — the ST550 and TT550, designed by Christian Grande. The 550 model introduces a new line of cabin cruisers under the ST series. Its signature inverted bow, rounded lines, spacious layout, and teak, mahogany, and stainless steel finishes make it one of the most elegant boats at the show. The ST550 is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS800 engines or, optionally, IPS950. The TT550 is a walkaround version of the model.
The long-awaited Itama premiere is the 54-foot model. Measuring 16.44 m in length and 4.73 m in width, the Itama 54 is designed to provide greater comfort in living areas while cruising and more open space. Innovative features include a spacious bow sunbathing area integrated into the deck. Unlike previous models, access to the bow is located on the starboard side rather than through the centerline of the windshield, allowing the hatch to remain open while ensuring access to both the bow and lower deck. The lower deck houses two cabins, two bathrooms, a galley, and a dinette.
VisionF, renowned for its catamarans, ventures into speedboat construction with the Superfast 46, a 14-meter vessel capable of reaching speeds of 80 knots. Not only does it slice through water with precision, but it also boasts an aerodynamic profile and unparalleled handling at high speeds. The hull is built using advanced technologies, including infusion and vacuum molding with multi-axial carbon fiber. The heart of the Superfast 46 is a pair of Mercury Racing Sportmaster engines, each producing 450 hp, paired with Mercury Active Trim. Optional features include Mercury Joystick Piloting for effortless control at high speeds or while docking in crowded marinas.
Beneteau introduces two debut models — the 35 and 40 Coupé from the revamped Gran Turismo line. The 35-foot model features an open layout and fold-down bulwarks, adhering to the concept of "living fully on the water." The bow and aft deck seating areas convert into wide sun loungers. The boat is powered by twin Mercury Verado outboard engines with 300 or 350 hp. Meanwhile, the Gran Turismo 40 Coupé is available with either outboard engines (two Yanmar engines at 640 hp) or inboard motors (400 hp Verado), as well as open or enclosed cabin configurations styled in Japanese minimalism.
Alongside its larger yachts, Riva showcases a special edition of its 38-foot Rivamare — the hundredth hull, Cento. It is also expected to unveil a 10-meter Aquariva Special, a version of its iconic model featuring exclusive materials. First introduced in 2001 as a worthy successor to the Aquarama, the Aquariva is the perfect cabin cruiser for enjoying time with friends over aperitifs and delicacies. The cockpit can accommodate up to eight guests on a semi-circular sofa surrounding a mahogany and metal table. The dashboard is adorned with numerous round dials and switches that gleam with polished metal. To the right of the dashboard is the entrance to a cabin with a V-shaped bed. The Aquarama Special exudes a uniquely European elegance, ideal for lovers of classic style.
