‘This was one of the most complex refits we have ever done,’ said Evan Kortmann, CEO of Balk Shipyard.

The hull was cut, and the length of Ursus was increased by 6 meters. The bow and stern were replaced, the superstructure was lengthened, and the layout of the main saloon was improved. An additional crew cabin, a beach club, ‘wings’ on the bridge, and an open kitchen were added. A bathroom was added to the captain's cabin.

The completely reimagined sundeck now houses a control station, barbecue, teppanyaki grill, and jet ski storage to complement the upgraded tender crane.

The original engines have been replaced with diesel-electric drives with Veth azimuthal propellers. After completion of sea trials in February, the yacht will be delivered to the owner.
