Arcadia yachts have always been renowned for their wide hulls, stability, and spaciousness on board. Now, the boutique shipyard from the outskirts of Naples has added a trendy concept from the yachting world to its already meticulously designed layouts—a raised pilot house (RPH). This innovation means even more room on the main deck. The first model of this type is the A80. The 24-meter yacht was proudly unveiled by the shipyard’s founder, Ugo Pellegrini, during an online press conference in April, and the first hull will be showcased live this autumn. Be sure to take a closer look when you attend the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 9–14).

Arcadia remains true to its signature aesthetic. The silhouette of the new yacht retains the distinctive traits of the A-line—clean shapes, large glazed surfaces, and perfect harmony with the surrounding environment. The RPH brings important advantages such as clear separation of crew and guest areas, enhanced privacy, and excellent views from the elevated helm station.

The expansive upper deck, spanning 80 square meters, exudes an atmosphere of freedom. At the stern, there’s a lounge area with soft, modular furniture, seemingly designed for leisurely conversations under the gentle sun. A little further forward, shaded by an elegant hardtop, lies the dining area—perfect for enjoying delicacies in the open air. At the bow, there’s a secluded corner hidden from prying eyes, ready to transform according to your desires. The dining and sofa area can easily turn into a sun-drenched solarium, thanks to a folding table and a soft canopy.

As is customary with Arcadia, the aft section of the main deck serves as a shaded terrace that seamlessly transitions into a beach club. Fold-down bulwarks expand the space, and a convenient staircase leads directly to the sea—safe even for small children and the elderly. This is Arcadia’s signature “functional luxury.”

The interiors have been specifically designed by Arcadia for this model, though they draw inspiration from previous models like the A96 and the iconic Sherpa 80. Soft, enveloping neutral tones combined with natural materials, dominated by warm wood, create an atmosphere of tranquillity and comfort. Delicate lighting with smooth adjustability not only sets the mood but also conserves energy.

The main salon, bathed in sunlight through enormous windows, features reflective surfaces and mirrors that visually expand the space. A gentle sea breeze carries the scents and sounds of the ocean, making onboard relaxation unforgettable.

The full-beam master cabin, located at the bow of the main deck, is a serene oasis of calm. Soft textures and flowing lines create an ambiance of cosiness and relaxation. Every detail has been carefully thought out—ample closets, hidden compartments, and a layout perfectly suited for extended voyages.

The lower deck houses four guest cabins—two VIP cabins and two twin cabins. Each features its own en-suite bathroom with spacious shower facilities, meeting the highest standards for yachts of this class.

The crew quarters are equally well-equipped. Two cabins in the bow accommodate four crew members, each with its own amenities, while a cosy dining area provides a space to rest and recharge between shifts. A separate staircase leads directly to the galley, allowing the crew to move discreetly around the yacht without disturbing guest privacy. This approach reflects one of Arcadia’s core principles: “A happy crew means a happy owner.” Taking care of the crew directly impacts the quality of service and guest satisfaction.
The yacht also boasts a garage for tenders and water toys, unusually large for a vessel of this class—a personal water park at your disposal!

The engines—Volvo Penta IPS 1200 or 1350—are the same as those on previous Arcadia models. This powertrain offers excellent manoeuvrability, shallow draft, optimal use of interior space, and relocation of sources of noise and vibration to the stern.

The expected top speed is 19 knots (though the shipyard is confident it can reach 21), with a comfortable cruising speed of 16–17 knots. The range exceeds 500 nautical miles at 15 knots and 850 nautical miles at 10 knots. According to the shipyard, at 15 knots, the A80 consumes 27% less fuel than competing yachts of similar size.

One important feature—the yacht is designed to comply with new anchoring regulations in the Mediterranean. These rules, introduced by the European Union to protect Posidonia oceanica seagrass, vital to coastal ecosystems, impose local restrictions on anchoring for yachts over 24 meters. Fines for violations can reach €150,000. Since the new Arcadia is shorter, it has access to more potential anchoring spots. The A80 continues Arcadia’s commitment to sustainability, featuring advanced solar panels that generate 98% more energy per square meter than those installed on earlier models.

All of this makes the A80 an excellent choice for cruising along the Turkish coast, the shores of Montenegro, between the Greek islands, or voyages to Mallorca.
