In February, at the Miami Boat Show, Boston Whaler unveiled its new model, the 365 Conquest. With two or three outboard engines delivering 1,200 horsepower and a 1,500-liter fuel tank, no big fish will be able to escape this cruiser.

For nine years, the 35-foot cruiser 345 Conquest held its place among Boston Whaler's iconic models. At the latest Miami Boat Show, its successor—the 365 Conquest—was unveiled. The design of this new boat draws inspiration not only from its predecessor but also from the 40-foot flagship, the 405 Conquest. Borrowed features include hull contours with large portholes and the sleek appearance of the glassed-in cabin, complete with rod holders and a fisherman’s perch on the roof. The number 365 is indeed striking! With this boat, you’ll want to live at sea year-round, and the saying “fishermen recognize one another from afar” takes on a new meaning. Other fishermen—and even the shore—fade into the distance as the new Conquest heads out to open waters at 46 knots.

Boston Whaler is renowned for its exceptional attention to detail, and this is evident in the design of the spacious transom on their new model. Everywhere you look, there are robust stainless steel rod holders of the highest quality. Next to them, you’ll find holders for coffee mugs or water bottles to make waiting for a catch more enjoyable. Comfortable padded armrests are attached to the gunwales. There’s plenty of room to move freely and not feel constrained when reeling in a big fish. Centered in front of the engines, there’s a wide wet bar equipped with a sink, grill, and a spacious refrigerator. The new Frostbox cooling system keeps your catch fresh even under the scorching tropical sun. On either side of the wet bar, there are drawers for dishes, utensils, sauces, and seasonings. Essentially, it’s a full outdoor kitchen with ample space to clean freshly caught fish and grill it to perfection for your guests. Speaking of guests, you can invite up to 16 people on board. All that’s left is to wish for a big catch to feed such a crowd! Doors are located on both sides and at the rear, so busy marinas pose no problem—the boat can be docked in any direction. Even if fishing isn’t your focus, this layout is ideal for simply enjoying a fun day on the water. You can place Seabobs and diving gear in the available space, dive in through the side doors, and enjoy the water. Access to the generator, batteries, gyrostabilizer, and other equipment has never been simpler—just lift the large deck hatch, and you can adjust, repair, or replace parts. There’s no need to twist yourself into uncomfortable positions or grope blindly with your hand. Every wire is visible. However, finding the pair of convertible tables that can be set up in the middle of the free space at the stern is a bit of a quest if you don’t know where to look. The tabletops and legs are mounted on the inside of the same hatch. On either side of it, there are two compartments for storing fishing or sports gear.

Between the cabin, raised by two steps, and the open cockpit, there’s a convertible seat for two facing the transom, complete with a retractable footrest. The backrest can be adjusted with a simple motion. Another refrigerator is hidden in its base. On the starboard side, there’s an angular counter with an additional sink, a small induction cooktop, a refrigerator, drink holders, and drawers. Perfect for making cocktails and serving hot appetizers. From here, it’s easy to serve both the cockpit and the cabin.

The cabin itself impresses with its high ceilings and panoramic glazing, creating a sense of a large, bright space. Like the flagship 405, the new model is equipped with a seamless windshield spanning the width of the hull, along with additional side windows. The cabin layout easily adapts to different situations. For instance, if the boat is underway, one guest might sit on the forward seat by the windshield (by the way, movement can be monitored on a 19-inch touchscreen). Two others might gaze out the window from the seat along the port side. When the cruiser stops, the forward seat can be moved closer to the console, and the backrest flipped forward. Pressing a button raises a foldable teak table, creating another area for dining, coffee, games, and conversations, where guests can sit facing each other. Want to relax? Raise the table level with the seats, add a cushion, and you’ve got a lounger. The cabin is quite comfortable and pleasant for sleeping on warm summer nights.

The helm station is impressive, featuring two 19-inch Simrad displays with convenient multi-touch functionality and high resolution, along with buttons and a joystick. The boat comes equipped with the Axius maneuvering system, which includes Skyhook satellite positioning.

The door to the cabin is located in the central console. A wide staircase with teak steps is both convenient and safe. Inside, you’ll find yourself in a small yet cozy salon with a soft sofa. The bow section of the hull houses two angled sofas with a table between them. Press a button, and they transform into a double bed—no need to rearrange anything or add cushions. It all happens automatically. Watching the table lower and slide into the merging halves of the bed is almost like a little attraction. Behind a curtain in the central part of the hull, there’s another bed. It’s set close to the floor and resembles a playpen or Japanese tatami, but unlike those, it’s very soft and comfortable. Kids would love this little nook for playing and tumbling around. The central part of the mattress can be removed, turning it into a U-shaped sofa. The bathroom, equipped with a toilet, sink, and seated shower, is bright, spacious, and ergonomically designed.

At the bow of the boat, you can relax, take in the views, sip cocktails, or sunbathe on two wide stationary loungers.

The roof of the cabin accommodates an upper helm station with a comfortable seat and numerous rod holders.

This 11-meter boat is powered by 1,200 horsepower. The choice is yours: a trio of 400-horsepower Mercury Verado V10 engines or a pair of the latest 600-horsepower V12s. By default, the engines come in black or white, but you can have them painted in any color from the Boston Whaler palette. During tests, the cruiser reached a top speed of 46.1 knots. With its 1,552-liter fuel tank, you can travel without refueling to destinations like Black Rocks or White Cliffs. The boat is equipped with a Dynamic Running Surface system for automatic trim tab adjustment and a Seakeeper gyrostabilizer.

Boston Whaler traditionally offers numerous hull design schemes with sophisticated, intricate shades. One of the brand’s strengths is its use of exclusive high-quality materials, such as fine woods and durable marine-grade vinyl that retains its color. The fittings are made of premium stainless steel.

And for enthusiasts, the age-old question remains: can this cruiser, like other Boston Whalers, be sawed apart, and will it sink? The answers are simple and unequivocal: yes, it can. No, it won’t.
