Зарегистрирован новый мировой рекорд скорости под парусом для 60-футовых однокорпусных судов. World Sailing Speed Record Council ратифицировал достижение, установленное экипажем Hugo Boss IMOCA 60 во главе с британцем Алексом Томсоном: во время перехода из Нью-Йорка в Великобританию яхта за 24 часа преодолела дистанцию в 539,71 морских миль. В среднем получается 22,49 узла. Отрыв от предыдущего рекорда, также установленного Томсоном и его командой на той же лодке в 2017 году, составляет 2,9 мили.
