Новые гоночные мотоциклы Ducati Monster 1200 и Ducati Monster 1200 S оснащены двухцилиндровым двигателем 1199cc Testastretta, мощность которого составляет 145 лошадиных сил. У новых «монстров» высокоэффективные тормоза, легкие колеса и впечатляющая технологическая начинка, например восьмиуровневая система контроля тяги, трехуровневая антиблокировочная система и ЖК-дисплей, как у модели Panigale. Характерные отличительные особенности модели S — переднее крыло из карбона и облегченные диски.
