Столь высокий показатель достигнут благодаря системе VTEC, прошедшей широкую апробацию на автомобильных двигателях компании. Эта система содержит по два кулачка на каждый впускной клапан, что обеспечивает максимальный крутящий во всем диапазоне оборотов. Как заявляет производитель, двигатель отличается высокой экономичностью и оснащен мощным генератором. Вскоре ожидается появление 200-сильной версии этого двигателя.
