Frauscher sets a new speed record

The Austrian brand Frauscher is celebrating another victory: the electric boat Frauscher x Porsche 790 Spectre, created in collaboration with Porsche, has set a new world speed record at the 2026 Monaco Energy Boat Challenge. During the competition, the boat achieved an impressive speed of 51.05 knots over a one-kilometer course, surpassing the previous year's achievement when the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom recorded an average speed of 49.84 knots.

This record makes the 790 Spectre the fastest production electric boat in the world, and the manufacturer emphasizes that it is not an experimental prototype but a serial-production vessel available to private customers. The model was designed entirely around the electric powertrain from the Porsche Macan Turbo electric SUV. Stefan Frauscher, CEO of the shipyard, called this success a significant achievement for the entire team, demonstrating the immense potential of joint development of a boat and its electric propulsion system.
